We have an exciting opportunity for a Training and Development Project Manager supporting the Contracts, Procurement and Proposals Management organization. The Training and Development Project Manager will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, developing, leading, and delivering training to Contracts, Procurement, and Proposals Management staff, as well as supporting and leading key organizational development projects as assigned by the Leadership Team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operational aspects of a project and serves as the liaison between project management and the project team, planning, and line management to present and exchange information.
Continually reviews status of the project and budget; manages schedules and develops appropriate reports to document the progress of the project.
Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Participates in the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.
Develops and coordinates curriculum; conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Develops training schedules; develops course content and coordinates the development of training aids; in coordination with internal customers, contractors, or vendors, develops in-house programs, learning aids, and activities to address developmental needs.
Develops and administers student examinations; continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Maintains certification records on trained personnel.
Coordinates with the Leadership Team regarding organizational survey results, action plans and facilitation of the Manager’s Council
Coordinates training programs with customer and/or contractor personnel; standardizes user training, technical manuals and other aspects of integrated logistics support.
Assist with and develop simple project plans and coordinate resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals are attained.
Monitors schedules, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet training and development goals.
Coordinates departmental and/or cross-functional teams to develop training material; monitor progress and provide support and direction when necessary.
Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s in business administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in project administration.May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must have a good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
Must possess:
the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects;
the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of issues;
strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and,
the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
