We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Instructor to support our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course for the 25-26 school year. The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for guiding and instructing students through the clinical portion (50-60 hours) of their CNA training, ensuring they gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience required to succeed in their healthcare careers.
Clinical Instructor will complete at least one clinical group rotation of 50-60 hrs
Clinical rotations take place from approximately January-March 2026
One Clinical group rotation takes place on Wednesday (3:45 pm - 8:15 pm) and Saturday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm) every other week
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical instruction to CNA students in a clinical setting, adhering to state and institutional guidelines.
Demonstrate and supervise essential CNA skills, including patient care, personal hygiene, infection control, and vital signs.
Oversee student performance, offer constructive feedback, and assess skills.
Communicate with CNA instructor to ensure students meet program requirements for clinicals.
Prepare clinical sites and ensure a safe, conducive learning environment for students.
Evaluate and document student progress in line with the program’s curriculum.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
Current CPR/BLS certification
4 hours of Alzheimer's training
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with state CNA training requirements and regulations
