Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the multi‑year strategy and annual operating plan (AOP), including revenue, gross margin, utilization, TRIR, and backlog targets by region and service line.
- Responsible for revenue growth and sales.
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and capacity planning for labor, fleet, tooling, materials, and subcontractors; balance resources across Field Services and Field Decommission to meet demand.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve field procedures, work instructions, risk assessments, and checklists for all service offerings (commissioning/start‑ups, testing/maintenance, repairs, retrofill/oil handling, and decommission).
- Implement a unified scheduling and dispatch model across both departments that maximizes crew utilization, minimizes travel/standby, and protects customer commitments.
- Run tiered daily/weekly operating reviews with leading/lagging KPIs; drive root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and sustained countermeasures.
- Champion a zero‑incident culture and ensure adherence to OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 (including 1910.269), NFPA 70E, DOT HAZMAT, EPA/TSCA PCB rules, spill prevention/response, and Emerald SOPs/customer site rules.
- Own field quality standards, test results, job documentation, and decommission close‑out packages; reduce rework/recalls through preventative controls and post‑job learnings.
- Partner with Sales to scope, estimate, and price jobs for both Field Services and Field Decommission to target margins based on regional market conditions and risk; approve exceptions per DOA.
- Serve as executive sponsor for strategic customers and escalations; ensure timely, accurate close‑outs, invoicing triggers, and support for collections.
- Lead a distributed team that includes Regional Field Service Managers, Field Decommission Managers/General Managers, Schedulers/Dispatch, and Technical Trainers, along with field supervisors/technicians
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.

- Physical ability to preform heavy work, exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 20lbs force frequently.
- Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
- OSHA-30 required.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Planning: An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in utility, transformer, or heavy industrial field services; strong decommission experience required. 5+ years leading multi‑site/regional teams with full P&L accountability, including scheduling/dispatch and subcontractor management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations/Industrial Management, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA, MS) preferred
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and associate relations.
