Position Overview:
The Business Development Director will be responsible for securing and growing the Digital Distribution business, by developing strategic relationships, managing existing distributor accounts, leading proposal efforts, and meeting revenue targets. This role requires a proactive approach to managing and collaborating with distributors and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Relationships: Build and develop corporate relationships with your assigned distribution partners
- RQI Portfolio: Position the Digital Resuscitation Portfolio direct to the Distribution segment, while supporting their business growth utilizing company resources, tools and processes to create additional business value and opportunities.
- Revenue/ Reach: Drive adoption of the Digital Resuscitation programs among the assigned partners to achieve revenue and reach annual targets and renewal and expansions.
- Business Opportunity: Build market awareness of our Digital Resuscitation Portfolio Solutions with emphasis on the importance of high-quality CPR.
- Best Practices: Utilize company resources and knowledge to achieve sales goals, market/mind share, and profitability objectives to grow the DDN’s market share.
- Customer Health: Ensure the health of customers by acting as a central point of contact for distribution of customers to all disciplines (Finance, Product Development, Service and Support) and ensuring conclusion
Position Holder is Accountable For:
- Program Competence – Ensure mastery of the features, functionality, and value proposition related to the RQI Portfolio.
- Achieve distribution annual revenue (subscription) quota for assigned region and accounts
- Management, coaching, and developing channel partners to ensure successful attainment of business and revenue objectives.
- Drive and grow distribution funnel and forecast to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual target
- Strong cross functional communication across the organization (marketing, implementation, support, etc.)
- Provide quarterly business updates for all assigned channel distribution partners to DDN Leadership
- Sales focus will be an estimated 60% from outside/40% from inside - On average this will require 3 days conducting sales activities in the field with face-to-face interactions and 2 days performing sales virtually per week OR 2 1/2 weeks in the field and 1 1/2 weeks virtually per month
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or healthcare
- Minimum of 10 years involving one or combination of the following positions: field-based B2B sales, account management, and/or relationship management with consistent achievement (exceeding) of business goals.
- Strong business acumen and professionalism
- Ability to manage a large, multi-state geographical region
- Track record of effectively handling complex and demanding projects
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, both internally and externally
- A passion for quality service and exceeding client expectations
- The ability to build genuine connections and lasting relationships
- Experience working with healthcare distributors preferred
- Travel required 60% of the time
Please note the successful candidate must be located on the West Coast, within an hour of a major metro airport, and be able to easily commute to Los Angeles on a regular basis.
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $120,000-$125,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, possible geographic differential, etc. This position is eligible for a variable pay plan which will be discussed during the interview process.
