Senior IT Audit Manager

Location: Flexible on location with visits to our head office in Wimbledon as and when required.

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

We’re thrilled to announce that D&G is bringing internal audit in-house, and with that, we have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and hardworking professionals to join our Group Internal Audit team as Senior IT Audit Manager.

Reporting directly to our Chief Internal Audit Officer, they will oversee end-to-end audits, engage with senior IT stakeholders, and contribute to audit strategy and planning. They’ll play a pivotal role in helping the organisation achieve its strategic objectives and OKRs.

As a Senior IT Audit Manager, you’ll:

  • Provide expert insights on risk, process and control efficiencies, and regulatory expectations.

  • Deliver high-impact audits and advisory work that supports continuous improvement.

  • Influence decision-making at the highest levels through clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of audits across the our IT teams.

  • Lead and perform risk-based audit work, from scoping the audit, detailed testing and reporting the results.

  • Present audit results to senior management and provide guidance and advice to senior management in developing of their action plans and associated due dates.

  • Oversee and perform the follow up of audit remediation.

  • Contribute to the annual audit plan, including risk assessment input.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Promote continuous improvement in audit practices and methodology.

  • Mentor, coach, and support the development of audit team members.

  • Drive and develop continuous monitoring initiatives across the function.

  • Ensure adherence to the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Global Internal Audit Standards and local regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK regulators – PRA and FCA

  • Preferred knowledge of the German regulator – BaFin

  • Experience managing audits in financial services, and insurance preferred for IT teams

  • Deep knowledge of technology controls, e.g. IT general controls, IT application controls, cybersecurity, Azure Cloud and new technologies such as AI. Strong intellectual ability to challenge suitability and application of these controls.

  • Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CIA, CISSA)

  • Collaborative, analytical, and forward-thinking mindset

  • In-depth knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Standards, PRA and FCA regulations,

  • High attention to detail skills to identify and evaluate potential risks to an organisation.

  • Comfortable of delivering key results to senior leadership.

  • Clear communication skills and able to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on audit matters.

  • Experience in supporting or establishing the internal audit data analytical processes

  • Excellent understanding and proven track record of programme delivery principles.

  • Ability to assess the adequacy of internal controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner.
