Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent and driving operational excellence? Desjardins Group is seeking a dynamic Auto Claims Section Manager, Claims Client Relations Centre to lead a multidisciplinary team under our new Auto structure. As a Section Manager, you will leverage your analytical mindset, coaching abilities, and leadership acumen to optimize work processes, manage performance, and implement business strategies aligned with Desjardins’ cooperative values. At Desjardins, we believe in empowering our leaders to make impactful decisions, develop their teams, and shape the future of client relations. You’ll be part of a collaborative, values-driven organization that prioritizes innovation, inclusion, and excellence. More specifically, you will be required to: 

  • Lead a Regional Pod: Oversee a multidisciplinary team—including Claims Advisors, Claims Specialists, and Appraisers—within a designated region, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence. 

  • Drive Strategic Execution: Develop, implement, and monitor your unit’s business and action plans, aligning them with Desjardins’ strategic priorities and collaborating effectively across administrative units. 

  • Foster a High-Performance Culture: Manage individual and team performance through clear objectives, coaching, and continuous feedback, while promoting accountability and results-driven practices. 

  • Champion Client Satisfaction: Ensure that all service activities meet or exceed expectations, delivering a consistent and positive experience for members and clients. 

  • Support Organizational Change: Establish communication and leadership practices that facilitate change management, employee engagement, and alignment with Desjardins’ values of cooperation, inclusion, and innovation. 

  • Develop and Retain Talent: Attract, mentor, and retain top talent by creating a supportive environment focused on growth, diversity, and professional development. 

  • Optimize Processes: Continuously assess and improve operational workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and responsiveness across claims functions. 

  • Promote Cooperative Values: Act as an ambassador for Desjardins Group’s cooperative principles, ensuring they are reflected in team culture, decision-making, and client interactions.

What you bring to the table 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience including two years of management experience 

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered 

  • Management or leadership experience 

  • Coaching and talent development experience 

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Proven ability to analyze data, think strategically, and build effective teams 

  • Advanced knowledge of claims operation
