Field Automation Specialist (Temporary – 12 Months)
Madrid, Spain
Your contribution
As a FAT, based in Madrid, you will work for an industry leader, joining a global team of engineers that are committed to ensuring Tecan’s professional service for our customers who utilize our scientific instrumentation and software. In this position you are responsible to provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches. Additionally, you build positive relationships with our customers and comprehend customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execution of service actions, installations, problem diagnosis, preventive maintenance and repairs – consistent follow up and customer satisfaction
- Training of new and existing customers on the use and maintenance of our systems (Hard- and Software)
- Diagnosing of errors or technical problems and determination of proper solutions
- Sharing of information obtained from unique problems or specialised trainings with the rest of your team
- Provide inputs and assistance to Sales team for their sales proposals, provide inputs to Create quotations for all types of service activities
- Documentation of service actions according to industry standards ensuring compliance with regulatory
- Manage spare parts inventory according to quality guidelines
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences (biology, chemistry or similar) or at least two years’ experience in Field Service and/or Application Support.
- Experience in the field of lab-automation is a clear plus but not a must.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to travel – national and international.
- Highly customer-oriented mindset
- Proven team player, collaborative spirit.
- Development of software applications for Automatic Liquid Handling systems knowledge is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel in Spain or abroad
