About the role
Are you ready to make a real impact in your community while advancing your career in asset management and data analytics? The City of Sydney is seeking a passionate and skilled Asset Management System Administrator to join our Asset Strategy and Systems team.
As Asset Management System Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting Asset Management Systems that drive the delivery and maintenance of civil asset infrastructure. You’ll help shape the future of Sydney by enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across our operations.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or significant experience in a related field.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL, GIS, and asset management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for simplifying complex processes.
- Experience with data visualisation tools.
Key responsibilities
- Administration, configuration and development of the City’s Corporate Asset Management System (CAMS).
- Manage and validate asset data across corporate systems.
- Coordinate with asset owners to identifying data shortfalls, recommend collection methods, overseeing data collection as well as importing data into the relevant systems.
- Ensure the City’s asset register data is in high quality.
- Create strategic plans for data collection that allows asset owners to make informed and data driven decisions.
- Design and implement data strategies to enhance quality and efficiency.
Who you’ll work with
You will collaborate with internal teams, project groups, and external partners to deliver innovative solutions that align with our strategic goals. Your work will influence decisions at all levels and contribute to the success of Sustainable Sydney 2030–2050.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
