Role Overview

 

At Irish Life we’ve ambitious and exciting plans. As part of bringing those plans to life, we’re looking an experienced Sponsorship professional to join our Group Brand Team. 

 

  
There is a great opportunity for you to make a big impact with one of Ireland’s leading brands. You’ll be someone who loves the buzz of working in a fast-paced environment, on Sponsorship campaigns and seeing them deliver on the KPIs. You will be a key part of a small but dynamic team, where you’ll be working with people who’ve won multiple All-Ireland Marketing and Irish and European Sponsorship Awards. You’ll also really enjoy the experience of working with our Advertising, Media, Sponsorship and PR agencies, who’re not just some of Ireland’s best – they’ve also been recognised internationally winning for example Cannes Lions and European Sponsorship Awards. 
  


You’ll be working on a hybrid basis. Irish Life is in Dublin city centre, with easy access to all major transport routes and be joining a wider team of over 3,500 and growing quickly.

What you will help us to achieve

 

Reporting to the Sponsorship Manager, you will be a key member of the sponsorship team, who is passionate about the power of community, health and wellbeing, as well as a love of GAA. 
Specific responsibilities will include. 

 

  • Supporting the implementation of the strategies that deliver on marketing, commercial and societal KPIs.      
  • Working closely with the Brand and Societal management teams by taking the lead and delivering results
  • Working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and agencies to deliver and support the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs partnership,
  • Collaborating with key Irish Life teams including divisional and internal communications to optimise the impact of our campaigns and sponsorship partnerships.  
  • Taking the lead/managing campaigns/projects for the Irish Life Healthy Clubs partnership, identifying opportunities to build on the existing programme, under challenging deadlines and delivery targets.  
  • Delivering (in-person and online) of interactive and engaging programmes and activations for GAA Healthy Clubs, with a key focus on health and wellbeing. 
  • Supporting the wider Growth Solutions team developing and implementing strategic and tactical projects. 

 

What you will need to be successful in the role

 

  • A 3rd level Business qualification and at least 2 years of experience in Marketing Communications. 
  • A strong commercial awareness, and the ability to use data as a key component of objective decision-making and problem solving. 
  • Highly motivated and driven with the ability to meet challenging deadlines and work on own initiative.
  • Good knowledge and/or experience of sponsorship and CSR.
  • Special interest in Health and wellbeing and ideally have qualifications and practice this area.
  • A demonstrated interest in, or understanding of, Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) activities is welcomed, but not essential 
  • Ability to present in front of groups of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developed or co-ordinated integrated communications plans and/or campaigns that have delivered internal and external impact. 
  • Experience activating Sponsorship and/or CSR campaigns using online media and offline channels to deliver impactful content and optimise tangible results.
  • A full clean driving licence with access to their own car.
