What You'll Do

  • Complete thorough substance abuse assessments, intakes, and admission interviews. 
  • Deliver outpatient treatment and early intervention services with individualized treatment plans. 
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based practices. 
  • Use Motivational Interviewing to engage clients and strengthen commitment to recovery. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate substance use testing; administer tests when needed. 
  • Collaborate with treatment team members, program director, and outside providers. 
  • Connect clients to community resources to support long-term recovery. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation meeting agency, state, and accreditation standards. 
  • Achieve a minimum of 22 weekly billable hours while keeping focus on client success. 
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Education & Certification – Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field preferred. Addiction certification (or eligibility within 6 months) required.
  • Experience – Background working with individuals facing substance use or co-occurring disorders.
  • Skills – Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills; comfortable with technology.
  • Mindset – Compassionate, trauma-informed, professional, and approachable. 
  • Requirements – Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to pass TB test, and willingness to maintain required training/licensure.
