To develop and implement strategic needs analyses and training plans. To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose.Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or education and two (2) years of nursing experience. Experience cannot be substituted for educational requirement. Valid RN license.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:
Valid RN license.

- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training/instructional methods, techniques, and formats

Responsibilities
- Identifies the educational/instructional needs of staff and/or patients and family members as appropriate to the position through interviews, feedback, educational requirements, professional requirements, program requirements, and/or request.
- Plans and designs curricula/material for educational/instructional programs.
- Prepares teaching and visual aids, instructional materials, and reference materials; recommends purchase of equipment and materials relevant to educational/instructional activities.
- Manages and facilitates program activities to include classes, training, conferences, seminars and/or other special projects; conducts individual and/or group training, schedules guest speakers, orients faculty, patients, and/or family members, and arranges for classrooms, equipment, and material handouts.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of instructional, training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives, methods, and/or courses.
- Prepares and submits monthly reports detailing teaching educational, and professional activities; maintains applicable records and files.
- Serves on at least one nursing council, hospital, or medical center committee, task force, or project team to improve patient care or work area demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
