L.L.Bean is seeking a Senior IS Wholesale Analyst to support our growing Wholesale business through the design and delivery of scalable, high-performing application solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for designing systems that meet complex business needs.

We welcome the opportunity for this role to be hybrid based at the corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine, or to be based remotely in the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin.

The Senior IS Wholesale Analyst plays a critical role in supporting L.L.Bean’s expanding Wholesale business by delivering and maintaining application solutions aligned with industry best practices, partnering closely with both the Information Systems team and the Wholesale Business Unit to ensure effective collaboration and strong working relationships.


Responsibilities:

Analysts Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of application solutions using formal methodologies to address Wholesale partner and business requirements.

  • Develop high-level solution designs and translate them into detailed specifications for configuration, integration, and development.

  • Collaborate with IS teams to ensure technical specifications align with business goals and are effectively implemented.

  • Stay current with Wholesale and technology industry trends to inform solution design and roadmap planning.

  • Ensure all solutions comply with security and development standards, recommending enhancements where appropriate.

  • Provide support for existing applications, including troubleshooting and 24/7 support as needed.

Project Responsibilities

  • Lead the selection, configuration, and integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and SaaS software solutions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to define requirements, develop test strategies, and execute testing plans (unit, system, integration, and user acceptance).

  • Implement technical solutions through software configuration, code development, or integration with SaaS platforms.

  • Support end-user adoption through training strategy review, documentation, and SOP development.

  • Manage phases of projects or small-scale initiatives, including planning, estimating, budgeting, and guiding team members.

Application Support Responsibilities

  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to maintain and enhance COTS/SaaS solutions and custom applications.

  • Provide on-call support, including 24x7 issue resolution and technical expertise for baseline support teams.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with software vendors for issue resolution and ticket management.

  • Ensure service levels are met, and the system documentation is maintained.

  • Mentor junior team members and participate in design/code reviews.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Wholesale or Retail industries.

Proven experience in application design, development, and support.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, systems analysis, and solution design.

  • Proficient in Wholesale systems and processes including SAP, OMS, ERP, EDI.

  • Experience with Manhattan Fulfillment or WMS systems is a plus.

  • Skilled in system integration, deployment, and customization.

  • Familiar with SQL, XML, APIs, relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), and Business Intelligence tools.

  • Knowledge of MQ Series, Java, JavaScript, Linux, Struts, WebSphere, Eclipse, RAD is a plus.

  • Experience with GIT, ServiceNow, Jira, and Zephyr.

  • Proficient in testing methodologies and tools, including automated testing and debugging.
