Responsibilities

  • Lead design and implementation of complex predictive models and advanced machine learning algorithms for healthcare-specific challenges
  • Architect and optimize analysis frameworks for large, complex healthcare datasets including electronic health records (EHR), claims data, and multi-modal clinical data
  • Develop sophisticated statistical models for patient risk stratification, treatment optimization, population health management, and revenue cycle optimization
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and distributed computing design and implement advanced models for clinical decision support, patient outcome prediction, care quality improvement, and revenue cycle optimization
  • Architect and maintain scalable automated data pipelines for real-time analytics, reporting, and model deployment
  • Lead implementation of healthcare data standards (HL7 FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT) and ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance
  • Design and deploy production-grade models in cloud environments while creating advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards for stakeholders
  • Present complex findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, clinical teams, and external partners
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to team technical standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with product teams to define data science roadmaps and technical requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex analytical projects and working with large-scale datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning
  • Expert-level experience with SQL and database management systems
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, ggplot2
  • Extensive experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Expert foundation in statistics, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference
  • Advanced experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
  • Deep knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, model validation, and performance optimization
  • Advanced understanding of A/B testing, causal inference methods, and statistical significance
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and distributed computing

Preferred

  • At least 3 years of experience working with healthcare data or in healthcare IT environments
  • Deep familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and complex healthcare workflows
  • Expert understanding of healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and compliance frameworks
  • Advanced knowledge of clinical data standards and interoperability frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of MLOps practices, model deployment pipelines, and production monitoring
  • Advanced familiarity with natural language processing for clinical text analysis and medical imaging
  • Expert experience with time series analysis for patient monitoring data and longitudinal studies
  • Experience with regulatory submissions and validation for healthcare AI/ML models
