Mission:
Your main mission as Quality Engineer is to be the internal focal point for all quality-related matters concerning the program you are involved in. You are part of the program teams and work in close collaboration with your team. You also work closely with the Supplier Quality team, the System Quality team, as well as with Operations.
Responsabilities:
- Monitor the quality performance of the relevant programs;
- Act as the interface with the customer for all quality-related topics: progress, inquiries, claims, etc.;
- Manage internal and customer nonconformities related to your program scope : handling non-conforming products, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions;
- Perform risk analyses on products and manufacturing processes;
- Organize and conduct internal and customer Product Audits;
- Develop and/or manage program-specific quality documentation;
- Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;
- Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;
- Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support.
Profile:
Education / Experience:
- Education: You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or an equivalent field.
- Desired experience:
- You have between 5 and 10 years of professional experience in a similar sector;
- Relevant experience in quality is a strong asset for this position.
Skills:
- Soft Skills:
- You have the maturity to work on the projects entrusted to you;
- You are flexible and able to work on different programs;
- You can work under pressure while maintaining a results-oriented work environment;
- You can be assertive and convincing when required;
- You are a team player;
- You have a solution-oriented mindset and enjoy challenges;
- You have excellent analytical skills.
- Technical:
- You have practical knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, etc.;
- Knowledge of aerospace materials, components, and structural assembly is a plus;
- You have a good understanding of quality standards (AS/EN9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949, …).
- Languages: You have excellent communication skills in English and in French or Dutch.
