Responsibilities:What You’ll Do
As a Para-Professional, you will provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and support their families in both in-home and center-based settings. You will work under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor, and your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing individualized ABA programs and treatment plans
- Recommending new programming goals and assisting with client program development
- Creating therapy materials and conducting monthly team meetings
- Providing parent education and consultation services
- Collecting and analyzing behavior data to identify trends and provide insights to your supervisor
- Writing first drafts of progress reports and reviewing client programs in Ensora
- Assisting with coordination of care and other BCBA support tasks
- Acting as a floater for the center as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children with special needs and/or autism
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule: mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings
- Ability to pass a background check
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to learn new software quickly
Not to mention, it’s a plus if you:
- Are bilingual in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
Physical demands may vary depending on client needs. You may be required to:
- Push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds
- Move quickly to respond to clients in real-time
- Sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as part of active engagement with clients
