About the role:

As the Solution Architect for the Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform, you will design robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures that meet current and future operational needs. You will translate customer and stakeholder requirements into effective architectural solutions that bridge business goals with technical execution. This role involves guiding the integration of robotics frameworks, cloud, and IoT technologies, while continuously improving platform reliability and performance to support evolving use cases such as site security. You will also act as the technical lead during pre-sales and deployment phases, ensuring seamless solution delivery.

How You Will Contribute

• Design end-to-end architecture and technical solutions for the RaaS platform, with a focus on scalability, security, and cloud/IoT integration.
• Support proposal development, respond to RFIs, and engage in pre-sales technical discussions to demonstrate solution value.
• Develop comprehensive hardware and software solutions tailored to each site’s unique environment and operational needs.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering, and deployment teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical designs.
• Select and integrate robotics frameworks, APIs, and infrastructure components to build a cohesive and maintainable platform.
• Provide technical guidance throughout development, deployment, and testing phases.
• Ensure solutions comply with security standards and industry best practices.
• Work closely with stakeholders to address challenges and evolve the platform to meet changing customer needs.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and solution blueprints.

What You Will Bring

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a solution architect or in a similar role, ideally within robotics, SaaS, or IoT platforms.
• Experience with physical systems (hardware + software) and enterprise customer environments.
• Background in supporting technical sales or delivery of automation platforms.
• Strong communication skills—clear, tactful, and effective across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation and impact.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% globally to support technical engagements and on-site deployments.
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages such as Dutch and French are a plus.
