ServiceNow Developer – Service Portal & Catalog Development
Location: Pune / Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive ServiceNow Developer to join our Service Portal & Catalog Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining ServiceNow Catalog Items, Portals, and related integrations.
Your work will directly impact user experience, request fulfilment processes, and automation across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in developing catalog items, portal enhancements, scripting, and data integration, along with a solid grasp of ServiceNow’s core modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Catalog Development & Management
- Design, develop, and maintain Catalog Items (CITEMs) including:
- Creation, modification, deletion
- Access management, visibility rules, approval workflows
- Manage catalog categories, bundles, and content items.
- Develop custom modules within CITEMs (e.g., catalog validator, multi-transaction modules, bulk mapping utilities).
- Configure and maintain variable mappings, including inbound data integration with interfaces.
Service Portal & User Experience
- Enhance the Service Portal with custom widgets, content items, and category updates.
- Make UI/UX improvements using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS (used in widgets).
- Apply interface formatters, SOAP message functions, and XML transformations.
- Work with triggers and events to send/receive data from external systems via integration.
Scripting & Debugging
- Write and debug script includes, client scripts, and item scripts to support complex catalog logic.
- Maintain and enhance Transform Maps, field maps, and basic data transformation logic.
- Support CMDB-related scripts in connection with catalog items.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
- Hands-on experience in Service Catalog and Service Portal development.
- Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Experience with Transform Maps, SOAP/REST integrations, and XML data handling.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes and workflows.
- Experience in debugging and enhancing UI elements (widgets, forms, business rules).
- Agile development exposure and use of tools like JIRA or similar.
