There to care. Here for good.
Aged care is so important. Some people forget that. You don’t and neither do we. Because helping people is what we were born to do. We’ve been a leading provider of aged care in communities across South Australia since 1953. That’s a long journey, and we’re proud of our stability and strength.
Now, we’re on a mission to continue to grow and improve our services and impact, hand in hand with our fantastic team. Here, every moment matters and every client counts. And so do you.
Join us as Domestic Services Lead, and be there to care.
A brighter future with Helping Hand, for older people and for you.
The Domestic Services Lead plays a key role in coordinating and supporting frontline domestic service delivery for older people living at home. As a Domestic Services Lead, you will work closely with a team of Domestic Services Assistants to ensure clients receive safe, reliable, and high-quality home cleaning and domestic services. You will also be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring service quality, and responding to client needs in a timely and professional manner.
You'll also make an impact by:
- Providing day-to-day supervision including buddy shifts, guidance, and coaching to Domestic Assistants.
- Promoting a positive team culture built on trust, communication, collaboration, and professional accountability.
- Promoting excellence in client service by supporting respectful, timely, and informed communication between team members, clients, and service staff.
- Encouraging and responding to feedback from clients, carers, and stakeholders to support service development and continuous improvement.
- Conducting regular check-ins and service audits to ensure quality standards, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Driving and promoting a positive workplace culture that fosters employee engagement through clear communication, collaboration, and meaningful recognition.
- Supporting the use of client management systems, and promoting good data entry practices to maintain information accuracy.
- Coordinating the documentation and reporting of compliance activities, quality improvements, and audit requirements.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience supervising or coordinating staff in aged care, community services, or cleaning/domestic roles.
- Proven ability to lead teams or initiatives, with a focus on achieving results, supporting team performance, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to operational needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centred and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in resolving routine service challenges.
- Competency in using scheduling tools, workforce systems, or client management software.
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle for travel across service areas.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification.
