Tasks and Qualifications:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

You will take the lead on site managing a team to ensure customer issues, incidents and breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate a large, complex residential service team to achieve/exceed maintenance, safety, reporting and customer performance requirements

  • Develop service and maintenance practices to improve system reliability

  • Work with Supervisors and Team leaders to set performance standards and monitor performance and development of service teams (60-70 staff)

  • Work with customer to identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities

  • Work within the annual budgets, manage profit & loss, revenue, and gross margin targets

  • Manage client issues through to closure and feedback to client after resolution

  • Promote a safe work culture, manage safety performance of the team, and ensure safe work standards are maintained

  • Prepare quotations and estimates for maintenance contracts, spare parts, installation, repair and customer support as required 

  • Coordinate regular meetings with customers, operations team and report on performance and maintenance activities

  • Prepare system upgrade plans and refurbishment programs

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

As our ideal candidate, you will have a broad level of technical experience as well as strong leadership skills to lead our Team Leaders and technicians, and to support our customers. You have a hands-on approach and will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business, with the following:

  • Engineering qualification or mechanical/electrical trade or demonstrated industrial engineering or maintenance experience coming from a trades background 

  • Leadership experience working in a customer service environment

  • Automated systems experience with material handling equipment is ideal (or related industries)

  • Previous experience managing skilled technical teams of mechanical fitters, electricians and engineers delivering maintenance services

  • Excellent motivational skills and the ability to encourage and implement a progressive culture, with a commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction

  • Good understanding of financial outcomes and ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Sound experience in Microsoft Office and report writing skills

  • Flexible with work hours
