About Us
Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is a private non-profit corporation, organized and designated by the State of Ohio to be the planning, coordinating and administrative agency for federal and state aging programs in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties. It is one of twelve Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the state organized together with local service provider organizations and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) to form the state's public aging services network. The network works together to create opportunities for older Ohioans to receive needed home and community services and supports; and to age successfully in their own homes and communities.

An Agency Support Representative provides a warm, friendly, and professional greeting to each visitor calling or entering the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) and completes clerical duties to support agency needs. This is an in-person position and located in Cleveland Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones with professionalism, handle messages promptly and relay questions to appropriate WRAAA staff in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task during a variety of daily, face-to-face, and telephonic encounters with staff, visitors, consumers, board members, community partners etc.
- Represent WRAAA in such a way as to exhibit maximum professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail, overall competence and confidentiality (when appropriate).
- Report complaints, problems and/or concerns in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain composure and patience as the first point of contact for all visitors and calls to the agency.
- Monitor reception desk and maintain cleanliness of the front lobby.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail including delivery throughout the agency.
- Maintain supply areas.
- Data entry as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Expectations of the Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor and ability to gracefully handle the occasional frustrated consumer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid work ethic and the ability to multi-task
- Experience working with diverse communities.
- Experience working with copiers, printers, laminators, postage meters and other common office equipment.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or some college coursework in business/word processing preferred.
- Previous experience with high volume switchboard preferred.
- At least one year general office experience in a similar position.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds and move file storage boxes, containers of paper, office supplies and small office equipment
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility while working through deadline pressures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
