Job Description:
CES Power is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Accountant to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely recording transactions to all jobs and producing project profitability and performance reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with the account managers, project managers and rental coordinators to capture accurate project budget data and actual project revenue and cost data.
  • Track subcontractor and external vendor expenses to ensure appropriate coding of vendor purchase orders and invoices.
  • Review and analyze project financial data to ensure accuracy of month-end reporting on project performance.
  • Prepare journal entries monthly to allocate cost of sales to appropriate projects.
  • Support and participate in monthly financial project performance review meetings.
  • Serve as primary point of contact on financial matters related to projects.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.
  • Provide project specific analysis and reporting requests.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of financial operations.

Qualifications


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of project accounting experience
  • Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies and project-level reporting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in financial matters.
