The Community Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport of all SJRMC van customers and maintain the vehicle’s mechanical and physical integrity.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current New Mexico Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Basic Customer Service Skills
• Ability to take and pass a basic CPR and Defensive Driving Course within six (6) months of hire date
• Ability to lift or push up to seventy-five 75 pounds
• Good Communication Skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoughtful Anticipation: anticipates the needs of those who will be transported by providing timely service
• Maintain the Sacred Trust of all riders by driving safely and providing good sound defensive driving
• Personal Reverence: Keeps in close communication with the Van Transport Supervisor regarding the van schedule
• Team Accountability: Performs morning inspections of the SJRMC vehicle - mechanical and physical integrity, reports any necessary maintenance needs
• Sacred Trust: Each employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC’s Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:

• Ability to lift or push up to seventy-five (75) pounds
