Overview:
The “Vice President, Facilities Management” is responsible to oversee the Facilities Business Unit P&L spanning direct project delivery, staff recruitment and oversite, budgeting and forecasting, building a robust pipeline of business leading the sales cycle from prospect identification through preproposal execution, and project management administration (setup, billing management and A/R collection) among other duties.
This is a national and global position focused on developing, expanding and leveraging Arora’s capabilities engaging all services around the Arora “wheel” to create business strategies to grow the Facility Management (FM) business line, associated staff and services in existing and new market sectors. The objective of the role is to grow Arora into a true FM firm, expanding on the current services of Arora Systems Group, LLC (ASG), a fully owned subsidiary of Arora Engineers. ASG is currently only operating in the Philadelphia region, and in the services capacity of Fire Alarm, Fire Protection, and Security Testing, Inspection and Repair, as well as Baggage Handling Systems Control Room operations.
This position will report to the COO and closely align sales, marketing and operations strategy and execution with the CMO as well as Arora Systems Group, General Manager, and Operations Manager. The role will focus on creation and execution of a business plan including developing and maintaining business relationships with clients to promote brand awareness and strategic capabilities that enable the growth agenda with a focus on growing full time on-site FM staff at client sites across the country and internationally.
A phase 1 focus will be on new national projects and pursuits while expanding services and client mix in alignment with this plan. This includes start to finish pursuit strategy and project execution including opportunity identification, technical proposal lead, through contract execution, acting as project executive (at least initially) to start up the program and staff management and operations staff to deliver. The position will coordinate and assist the ASG General Manager and ASG Operations manager related to management and oversite of existing contracts and staff, however complete oversite and direct management of current operations will follow in a phase 2 implementation.
Primary Duties:
- In partnership with the CEO, COO, CMO, ASG GM and leadership team, implement business strategies to achieve growth targets and identify new revenue opportunities with complex and/or major accounts.
- Own project execution including recruitment, staffing, scheduling, startup and management of national FM projects.
- Build a robust pipeline of business in collaboration with the team, and lead pursuits from identification through contract execution with support of the marketing, sales, and other company staff.
- Provide ongoing support to the high value clients ensuring Arora is delivering on commitments and stakeholders are receiving high quality customer service. This includes startup of new programs, staffing and ongoing client and program/project management.
- Maintain relationships with clients at the senior management or executive level. Collaborate with the leadership team in growth efforts to facilitate long-term and profitable business relationships.
- Leverage Global FM and professional association networks to support Arora growth initiatives. This includes attendance at national tradeshows and events to create and leverage existing networks.
- Creation or refinement of replicable FM related policies and procedures to facilitate growth and project delivery.
- Identify and collaborate with the leadership team to source new business opportunities.
- Ensures the business pursuits are connected across the Arora portfolio, including developing overall strategies and solutions as well as project specific ones to meet project and client needs. This includes but is not limited to leveraging FM Software solutions such as CMMS, Maximo, Geospatial, and the Arora ATLAS suite of mobile tools, as well as engineering and construction services.
- Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the organization.
- Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with client's leadership to understand their needs and links them to Arora's product/service strategies.
- Evaluates industry and business trends and analyzes financial performance across the portfolio in collaboration with the local market clients and leaders to assess potential impact on new business and ongoing operations and developing the necessary business changes to maintain targets.
- Lead and/or support contract formulation, negotiation and execution with the local team and client, utilizing internal and/or external resources. This includes creation of staffing plans and involvement in the recruitment process, as well as direct involvement as required for project delivery and startup.
- Understands and oversees financial accounting, budgeting, invoicing, and reporting by identifying trends and reforecasting to meet the financial goals for area of responsibility focused on new opportunities, teams, and contracts created by the role (in Phase 1, separate from existing ASG Operations).
- Inspire, motivate, and lead a team of diverse, talented, and resolute staff to advance the organization’s mission and realize its strategic goals.

Qualifications
Education/Experience Qualities Minimum/Required unless noted otherwise:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facility Management, or related field.
- MBA, MS, or related advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of executive leadership experience in Facility Management, Real Estate, or engineering fields with National account responsibility in Aviation, Surface Transportation, Infrastructure, Commercial, Education or allied industries. Global experience and work in the public and private sector preferred.
- Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results.
- Confidence, authority, and acumen to oversee complex development, budgeting, and programming in a rapidly changing environment.

- Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain genuine relationships with various stakeholders.

- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Integrated Workplace Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and the associated data, analytics and Digital Transformation required for implementation and operating success.
