Paralegal, Digital Products and Services

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support product legal reviews by gathering facts, preparing initial assessments, and drafting summaries or memos. Create, maintain, and update legal support workflows
  • Provide timely support on review of marketing and creative materials in support of GM’s digital services and products
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure stakeholder input on marketing materials, including across Legal and business clients
  • Assist in the creation of presentation materials and with other special projects as requested
  • Assist in managing and organizing Legal processes to achieve efficiencies, including support activities related to intake and review of legal deliverables
  • Update various legal templates as needed with direction from attorneys
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Keep attorneys and business stakeholders informed of the completion of assignments
     

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years as a paralegal with an in-house legal department, preferably in the technology sector
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Highly effective communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively with others

Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office in - Detroit, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
