WHAT IS EXEPCTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE
As a member of the property’s leadership team, the Director of Marketing is responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the hotel’s image and position within the marketplace.
The role will require a strong foundation in writing, visual thinking, presentation development, executive positioning, project management, networking, and cross-team collaboration. The ideal candidate must be able to experiment, quickly pivot and apply learnings.
· Direct leadership of agency partners, managing the relationship with Field Marketing and PR company
· Design, implement, and facilitate the annual marketing plan including total hotel strategies for rooms, events, spa, F&B outlets.
· Plan and administer the hotel’s annual marketing budget.
· Marketing and Public Relations implementation at a brand and local level including community involvement, hotel activations, and guest experiences.
· Develop content across diverse communications channels including stakeholder emails, newsletters, presentations, social media posts, executive talking points, internal channel posts, fact sheets, document templates, and other strategic communication vehicles.
· Ensure consistent communication of image and position throughout the hotel, as well as to all internal and external constituencies.
· Collaborate with leadership and brand teams on assets to maximize sponsorship and partnership opportunities. Communicate the brand value proposition and key messages.
· Facilitate and coordinate all media relations and press releases. Ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
· Partner with the Hyatt Field Marketing Manager to oversee updates and content management across owned digital platforms. This includes the hotel website, third-party listings, spa and restaurant menus, and other guest-facing digital touchpoints, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
· Partner with the Hyatt Field Marketing Manager to manage the relationship with paid and organic media agencies. Collaborate to develop on-brand strategies, oversee campaign execution, and analyze performance to ensure alignment with hotel and brand objectives.
Salary Range: $97,000-$151,400
EXPERIENCE
· Four-years of experience in Marketing and PR (hotel, travel related industry, luxury retail preferred)
· Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
· Excellent interpersonal and time management skills including ability to lead, guide and achieve goals
· Ability to use analytical data to create a results-driven approach
