The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of multiple RoadDog Convenience Store locations, ensuring operational excellence, consistent service quality, and adherence to company standards. This role reports directly to the Division Director and provides leadership and support to Territory Managers, Store Managers, a Food Service Manager, and other support staff. The Operations Manager drives store performance, operational efficiency, and a high-quality customer experience across all assigned locations. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple RoadDog Convenience Store locations, ensuring consistency in service, cleanliness, product availability, and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operational efficiency, customer service quality, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers and Store Managers to develop and implement operational strategies that enhance store performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Territory Managers, Store Managers, Food Service Manager, and support staff, fostering a positive work environment and career growth opportunities.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, staffing, and operational data to optimize store performance, reduce costs, and maximize revenue.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational processes, including inventory management, cash handling, loss prevention, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, including health and safety regulations, labor laws, and environmental practices.
  • Implement strategies to control operational costs, including labor, inventory, and utilities, while maintaining service and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and manage store performance against key financial metrics, including sales, profit margins, and expenses.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to the Division Director and senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead efforts to roll out new technologies, equipment, and systems to improve operational efficiency across stores.
  • Drive customer engagement and store readiness by maintaining high service standards and responding effectively to customer feedback.
  • Resolve operational issues and emergencies promptly, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with Division Director to plan, execute, and create marketing strategies to increase sales and attain customers including commercials, web and app updates, social media and in store marketing. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5-7+ years experience of multi-unit retail preferably in the convenience store operations industry.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in sales, inventory, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to store locations.
