About the Role:
The Administrative Office Assistant 1 at the Atlanta Plant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily office activities. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to various departments, facilitating communication, and maintaining organized records. The role demands a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. By handling scheduling, correspondence, and data entry, the assistant contributes significantly to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the plant's administrative functions. Ultimately, this position supports the operational goals of the Atlanta Plant by fostering an organized and responsive office environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Basic knowledge of data entry software and database management.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Associate degree or coursework in business administration or related field.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to appropriate personnel or departments.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality of information.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external events.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation as required by management.
- Support inventory management of office supplies and place orders to ensure continuous availability.
- Greet and assist visitors, providing a professional and welcoming environment.
