We are currently seeking a qualified individual for our Yard Truck Driver position, to join our Nottingham, PA team!
  • SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday
  • SHIFT:3:30pm - 12:00am
    • Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED:
  • Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen. As well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position. 
QUALIFICATIONS YOU BRING:
  • Class A CDL license required
  • Ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Key Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Maintain cleanliness of yard trucks. 
  • Hook and un-hook trailers and perform inspections on trailers while doing so. Must report any maintenance issues to supervisor right away. 
  • Move and back trailers into loading docks.
  • Must complete an inspection report for equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines as described in the safety code of conduct. 
  • Move trailers from plant warehouse to the auxiliary and the Nottingham branch warehouse.
  • Ensure load is secure when moving trailers. 
  • May involve loading or unloading trailers.
  • Ensure load is secure when the load is completed and close and lock down the doors. 
  • Ensure trailer is secure to dock with wheel chocks when dock lock is not available.
  • Inspect trailers to ensure dollies are secure for trailer to be loaded.
  • Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
  • Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
  • Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
  • Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Additional Duties:
  • Must wear the proper personal protective equipment for performing each duty.
  • Must maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner by following all safety guidelines as described in the safety code of conduct. Attends and participates in all safety meetings and is committed to working safely.
Qualifications:
  • Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous trailer driving experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid CDL Class A License.
  • Must possess a stable work history with good references.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
