We are looking for a hands-on manual machinist to join our fabrication team. This role is focused on short-run, high-precision brass work for our luxury lighting products. If you love running a lathe, setting up a Bridgeport, bending parts by hand, and torch-brazing brass until the joint is clean and strong, this is your job.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll run here:
  • Clausing Engine Lathe — turning brass parts to ±0.001", precision tapping
  • Bridgeport Mill and Clausing Mill — slotting, drilling, boring, and milling features on brass and bronze
  • Flex Arm Tap — precision tapping on bent rods, chasing taps
  • DAcro Bender & Eagle Roll Bender — forming small runs of bent and rolled stock
  • Cold Saw & Band Saw — clean, accurate cut-offs
Core skills we need:
  • Manual machining on engine lathes and knee mills with precision
  • Brazing brass assemblies with strong cosmetic results (flux control, avoiding pinking)
  • Setup, inspection, and finishing of small batch parts
  • Ability to read shop drawings, interpret GD&T, and use micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
  • Safe, careful habits with machines and torches

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5+ years on manual machines, or equivalent training with strong bench skills
  • Detail-oriented and steady; you take pride in crisp edges and tight fits
  • Comfortable moving between turning, milling, bending, and brazing in the same day
  • Reliable and organized — you keep your bench clean and your setups safe

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay + overtime
  • Day shift, Monday–Friday, in a clean, design-driven shop
  • Full benefits package (Health, Dental, PTO, 401k)
  • The chance to make beautiful, lasting parts with your hands
