Job Title: Clinical Education Coordinator
Department: PA Medicine

Supervisor: Director/Chair of the Physician Assistant Program
Schedule: Regular, FT, 12m, M-F, hours may vary.
Job Summary: Supports the Physician Assistant Studies Program by providing management and oversight of various processes pertaining to faculty, divisional staff, administrative support, and academics to drive program growth and improve program awareness across target audiences. Requires recurring contact with senior administrators and executives and public and private officials, a thorough knowledge of University policies, procedures, and operations, and an understanding of the University’s role within the community.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Serve with campus leaders, faculty, staff, and students on various university committees. Work with external constituencies to proactively develop and implement plans, programs, and activities that educate and motivate members of the University community to support PA students, and to promote the success of those students.
- Coordinate with campus security to manage key requests for faculty and staff as well as documenting temporary parking permits issued for all PA Program guests.
- Support Program Director with key academic functions or other responsibilities relating to annual functions of the Physician Assistant Studies program including recruitment, hiring, promotion and tenure, sabbatical leaves, department chair evaluations, faculty governance (committee/ divisional elections), faculty awards, growth plans, and departmental faculty evaluations. Implements policies and procedures related to these and other personnel actions that contribute to the instructional functions of the Physician Assistant Studies program.
- Provides support to the Director of Admissions in coordinating recruitment events, attracting prospective students to the Physician Assistant program, and contributing to the program’s strategic growth while identifying community resources and opportunities for community engagement for PA students.
- Manages ongoing ARC-PA accreditation compliance and collaborate with the Program Director to ensure timely reporting of required data.
- Provides support to Physician Assistant Studies staff and student workers. Provides training on departmental procedures and policies, supervises work activities and ensures leadership is informed of team dynamics and any personnel concerns.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contact with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training and/or courses.
- Contributes to the overall success of the Physician Assistant Studies program by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned, maintaining high levels of accuracy, a professional demeanor, appropriate levels of confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service. - Travels to or communicates with new clinical sites as well as new Preceptors to secure signed agreements and legal paperwork for student clinical rotations.
- Serve as quality control by verifying all signed clinical rotation paperwork processed from Physician Assistant Studies faculty and Staff are accurate and acceptable as legally binding agreements as they are entered into records.

- Competent in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and experience in using Jenzabar or a similar interactive data system.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, concentrate, and attention to detail are necessary in order to accurately interpret information on processes, procedures, and budget information.
- Ability to set goals, to prioritize and organize tasks and workload in order to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to use a broad knowledge of information about the University and its organizational characteristics, purpose, philosophies; and to represent the University in a way that is congruent with the mission statement.

Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in related field from four-year college or university and two years administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
