POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of the Technical Design Lead is to oversee final design & engineering.  Working with the fabrication and the installation teams to assure work meets design standards, effective means & methods and can be installed efficiently and at the highest quality within the budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design engineering of experiential graphics projects for means and methods of build.
  • Provide input on fabrication for Sales and the Estimating team.
  • Oversee engineering coordination and implementation into designs. 
  • Using project kick off documents, develop project schedule with critical paths.
  • Work with Auto CAD, Illustrator and other systems to create, modify and release drawings at or under estimated hours
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that drawings reflect correct information and processes for effective production of work.
  • Attend project “Kick-off” meetings and ensure project scope is understood and hand offs are complete and effective.
    • Coach and mentor less experienced Technical Designers and oversee at least one technical designer at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years technical design engineering experience.
  • AV and production implementation and control programing.
  • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certificate from an accredited CAD Program.
  • Ability to complete EG drawing packages with minimal guidance or errors


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with any or all of the following desired:

  • Signage or experiential graphics
  • Architectural drawings and site plans.
  • Electrical lighting and control systems.
  • Metal fabrication.
  • Graphics & typography processes.


WORKING HOURS:

Monday - Friday
