Position Summary
We are currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team at our TIC Imaging location in Ocala, FL. The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced imaging professional who is passionate about patient care and quality outcomes. You will perform a variety of complex MRI scans while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for MRI procedures, providing clear instructions

  • Schedule appointments and assist with general clerical duties

  • Verify imaging orders, diagnosis codes, and authorizations for accuracy

  • Screen all patients for MRI safety in accordance with protocols

  • Perform MRI scans using 1.5T and 3T equipment, following prescribed procedures

  • Position patients correctly and select appropriate protocols/sequences

  • Administer contrast agents orally or intravenously as required

  • Conduct weekly ACR QA and report equipment malfunctions promptly

  • Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling

  • Document procedures and complete paperwork in the electronic system

  • Assist in training new technologists and mentoring student techs

  • Provide physical and emotional support to patients throughout the procedure

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program

  • Minimum of 2 years of imaging experience, with at least 1 year in MRI preferred

  • Experience with both 1.5T and 3T MRI systems is a plus

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the State of Florida

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) or Nuclear Medicine (RT(N)) required

  • ARRT (MR) certification preferred, or must be obtained within 12 months of hire

  • BLS certification required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and cross-sectional anatomy

  • MRI safety protocols for staff and patients

  • Proficient in IV placement and management

  • Familiarity with image processing systems and PACS

  • Calm and competent response to medical emergencies or allergic reactions

  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain procedures to patients

  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment

Working Conditions

  • Clinical environment including exam and treatment rooms

  • Regular exposure to MRI equipment and related medical conditions

  • Full-time schedule; flexibility may be required based on patient needs
