Drive Learning Solution Strategy Across the Organization
- Oversee learning analysis and design to identify and develop strategies that build capabilities and close skill gaps.
- Conduct training needs analysis using methods such as skill gap analysis, job task analysis, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Identify priorities for new performance initiatives.
- Develop curricula including learning objectives, assessments, and evaluation plans.
- Determine optimal blend of delivery methods, tools, and modalities for learning programs.
Drive the Team’s Production of High-Quality Project Deliverables
- Oversee course design and development to ensure delivery of world-class materials that drive meaningful learning outcomes.
- Ensure deliverables reflect sound instructional strategies, adult learning theory, interactivity, and multimedia learning principles.
- Maintain exceptional visual design and strong UX principles.
- Apply creative instructional technology to solve problems or enhance the learning experience.
Ensure Project Deliverables Achieve Objectives
- Lead content production that contributes to departmental KPIs and other measurable outcomes.
- Monitor learner satisfaction and perceived knowledge retention.
- Track high first-attempt pass rates and assessment scores.
- Observe consistent on-the-job behavior changes post-training.
- Encourage completion of optional courses at desired rates.
Contribute Individually to Course Design and Development
- Support instructional design tasks such as drafting performance objectives, writing lesson content, and producing interactive modules.
- Meet expectations for instructional strategies, adult learning theory, interactivity, and multimedia principles.
- Deliver world-class visual design and UX.
- Use creative instructional technology to enhance learning.
Effectively Manage ID Projects and Resources
- Oversee multiple instructional design projects simultaneously.
- Ensure timely delivery aligned with strategic priorities.
- Inform all phases of instructional design to improve learner outcomes.
- Document and report project milestones and constraints to leadership.
Foster Intradepartmental Collaboration
- Ensure effective collaboration with other ILI and People Operations teams.
- Support smooth handoffs and transitions in the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project needs and constraints clearly.
- Uphold original curriculum vision and communicate necessary changes.
- Provide train-the-trainer (T3) sessions for facilitators and team members.
Develop and Manage Creative Assets for Learning Materials and Platforms
- Ensure visual content meets production-quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Manage LMS visual styling and web asset creation (HTML & CSS).
- Source images and produce graphics for team use.
- Create visual templates for documents, slide decks, and other resources.
- Degree in education, instructional design, training development, or talent management from an accredited university
- 10 or more years of experience in instructional design, course development, corporate training, or post-secondary education
- 3-5 years of direct experience in a management role with direct reports
- A strong portfolio of work demonstrating course development capabilities
- Knowledge of instructional design workflows (such as ADDIE), instructional theories, strategies, and methods
- Strong knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (such as Articulate 360 and Captivate) and learning management systems (including working with SCORM objects)
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and AfterEffects is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee (and take part in) the production of assets for e-learning modules, which may include the creation of images, video, audio tracks, and animations.
- A basic knowledge of web development is strongly preferred (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), as this role will oversee the visual styling of our learning management platform and potentially other intranet repositories for L&D.

- Expected salary range of $110,000- $130,000
