Tiger Club Lead Job Description (K-5)
Job Summary:
- Supervise children (grades K-5) at program site to ensure a safe, quality, learning environment
- Plan, organize, and maintain a variety of age appropriate materials and activities so that
participants have a safe, diverse and quality experience
- Greet families and check in/out children daily; maintain behavioral and accident forms so that
participant safety and records are maintained
- Maintain inventory of snacks and all supplies so that logistical needs are anticipated and met
- Oversee and follow procedures for lunch, recess, and/or snack time
- Serve as a Lead Chaperone on field trips so children are safe and the event(s) go smoothly
- Act as a positive role model for staff and students. Ex: Speaking kindly to and about students,
families and staff as well as limiting negative behaviors and complaining
- Assist in developing and carrying out appropriate plans for children with special needs to
successfully participate in the program
- Communicate with the Site Supervisor, Coordinator, and Director of Community Education and
other program and school staff so that programs run smoothly and problems are discussed and
solved
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and office staff at the school as needed to ensure
coordinated services and consistent practices
- Assist in promoting the program(s) to help parents, staff and others understand the benefits of the
program; such as enhancing the school curriculum and promoting positive child development
- Attend required School District training in Bloodborne Pathogens, Right-to-Know, and First
Aid/CPR (unless currently certified) so that participants are supervised by knowledgeable and
certified staff, and Tiger Club meets DHS standards
- Attend staff meetings and required staff development to maintain and improve the knowledge and
skills necessary to provide a comprehensive program
- Maintain cleanliness of the assigned room throughout the entire shift
- Follow and enforce policies and guidelines of the program to ensure quality and consistency
- Other job related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent

Pay:
- Starting at $19.00/hour plus an additional $1-3/hour from a State Grant
