JOB PURPOSE |
The Production Supervisor will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities on the production floor to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Assist with training of team members.
- Oversee the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the assigned team.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Monitor cycle times of the operators.
- Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
- Lead team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks.
- Inspect quality and quantity of parts produced.
- Verification of finished skids in meeting company quality standards, ensuring that it has the appropriate labels, and operator initials.
- Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
- Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
- Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implement viable ideas.
- Resolve conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
- Assist the material handler where or if needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Report daily attendance.
- Prepare daily shift reports and send, via email, to the appropriate personnel.
- Supply training records needed while ensuring that they are filled out appropriately, verify that the operator can run the required process independently, and turn in to production manager.
- Work weekends whenever assigned shift is working.
QUALIFICATIONS |

- Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
- Ability to remain organized.
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS |
- Willing to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment i.e. hot in the summers and cold during winter periods.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
