Your role
Do you want to join Tax team that provides tax advisory oversight of UBS’s investment banking business and related impacts on its corporate structure?
We’re looking for a Senior Tax Advisory Attorney to:
• represent Group Tax in various committees that review and approve new products, businesses and processes.
• optimize our corporate structure to ensure tax efficiency.
• contribute to the effective implementation of tax risk controls and improvements, including by developing and overseeing the implementation of tax policies.
• review and approve the tax aspects of complicated transactions and financial products and the tax provisions of offering documents and programs.
• advise colleagues in other jurisdictions as to the US tax implications and risks of financial products and businesses.
• prepare and review tax returns and filings associated with financial products and related business units.
• collaborate with law firms and external tax advisors to obtain and update legal guidance.
• assist with responses to inquiries from tax authorities in an accurate and timely manner by thorough analysis and communication.

Your expertise
US law degree, perhaps with an LLM in Taxation and/or an advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.
• a current qualified attorney and a member in good standing of the bar.
• prior experience providing US Tax Advisory services to a non-US financial institution.
• previous front-office experience in a financial institution is a plus.
• able to work in a high paced, multi-task environment and deliver results.
