POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing innovative recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent while ensuring alignment with the company’s workforce goals and culture. This role oversees the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, and leverages data-driven insights to optimize talent acquisition efforts. The Manager collaborates with leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, enhance employer branding, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This position also manages a team of recruitment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver a seamless candidate experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

•Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates, utilizing diverse recruitment channels and methods.
•Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates, while maintaining an exceptional candidate experience.
•Partner with the Total Rewards team to ensure offers are competitive and backed by data-driven compensation recommendations.
•Analyze recruitment metrics and key performance indicators to optimize processes and drive efficiency and effectiveness.
•Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative techniques to enhance employer branding and recruitment efforts.
•Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, vendors, and partners to supplement internal talent acquisition efforts as needed.
•Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting.
•Manage the Position Management Program for non-union roles in collaboration with the Finance Team.
•Oversee required testing for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, and skills assessments, ensuring timely completion.
•Drive and monitor job advertisement postings within the ATS and ensure timely applicant disposition.
•Oversee the design and implementation of a seamless onboarding and orientation program that inspires and integrates new hires effectively.
•Lead on-campus outreach activities, such as career fairs and information sessions, to strengthen the organization’s presence and pipeline.
•Maintain Talent Acquisition-related content on the HR intranet (e.g., SharePoint) to provide accurate and up-to-date resources for employees and managers.
•Approve Accounts Payable invoices related to talent acquisition expenses.
•Actively manage and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
•Participate in cross-functional projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, audits, and policy updates, as required.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The team member in this role will:
•Serve as a People Leader with supervisory responsibilities. 
•Develop, mentor, and coach team members as they work to achieve performance goals by utilizing leadership routines such as weekly check-ins, monthly team meetings, quarterly skills coaching and annual reviews.
•Identify effective goals and objectives for the team and implement a plan to execute them.   


REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES 

•Proven experience in talent acquisition, including recruitment strategies, employer branding, and onboarding processes.
•Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
•Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, including compliance with reporting requirements.
•Analytical skills to interpret recruitment data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
•Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms, with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
•Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
•Ability to deliver engaging presentations and training sessions to internal and external audiences.
•High attention to detail and accountability, ensuring processes are accurate, timely, and compliant.


EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

•A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, or related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits or related field is required.
•SHRM-CP and/or PHR is preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS    

The ideal candidate must be able to complete the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
