Job Description:
BW Papersystems is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician who will conduct mechanical, electrical quality and software functionality testing on finishing corrugated machinery. In this role, you will need to have comprehensive mechanical knowledge of machinery, equipment assembly and functionality; as well as ensuring that all items tested meet engineering and manufacturing standards.
Essential Functions:
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and other types of documentation.
Perform setup, power up and test procedures on finishing corrugated machinery according to testing specification. Ensuring that company safety procedures are followed throughout the process.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Work safely and troubleshoot 120-480VAC and 12-90VDC systems and motors.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems that arise during testing procedures and ensure that all issues found are correctly reported.
Test software functionality of equipment, ensuring that all issues found are correctly reported.
Wire and/or assemble mechanical and/or electrical components according to given specifications for testing purposes as needed.
Ability to work with electrical and electronic circuits, electronic controls, and mechanical systems (bearings, gear train, and pneumatics).
Able to multi-task various duties throughout the day, with an ability to be versatile and flexible.
Communicate effectively and work within a team environment, and able to independently solve problems while interacting with various teams and teammates on daily processes and flow.
Identify and correctly report assembly build issues and documentation.
Maintain testing materials required for use in evaluating machine
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of related experience in or training in testing/inspecting corrugated machinery
The approximate pay range for this position is $25/HR - $38/HR. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position
