Position Overview
The Lead Pharmacist at Gifthealth is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high levels of patient care and service. The Lead Pharmacist will work closely with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow, enhance efficiency, and ensure the accurate dispensing of medications.
How You’ll Help Us Improve Healthcare
- Supervise daily operations within the pharmacy, including prescription processing, order fulfillment, and customer service.
- Manage and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.
- Implement and maintain compliance with all regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
- Enhance patient safety and care by ensuring accurate dispensing and thorough patient counseling.
- Optimize pharmacy workflows to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Resolve issues related to prescription errors, patient complaints, and staff performance swiftly and effectively.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.
A Few Things About You
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor or a similar managerial role in a pharmacy setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and legal regulations.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Ohio, with a Pharm.D. or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with significant supervisory experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day.
