Lead Software Engineer en Clarivate

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives across the organization. The Lead Data Scientist will work closely with tech & data professionals, business leaders, and translate complex data into actionable insights that directly impact strategic decision-making. This role requires both strong technical expertise and skills to shape data science strategy and deliver high-value solutions at scale.  

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field 
• At least 6+ years of overall experience.
• At least 4+ years of experience in data science.
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade machine learning/AI solutions
• Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Experience with big data platforms (Spark), cloud services (AWS), and MLOps tools

It would be great if you also had . . .   

• Experience in deploying ML solutions at enterprise scale.
• Exposure to data privacy, security, and compliance regulations.
• Prior experience in [industry-specific domain like healthcare.

What will you be doing in this role?  

• Strategy
  • Define the data science strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Work closely with tech & data professionals and analysts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, product, business, compliance) to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation.
• Model Development & Analytics
  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and AI solutions for business challenges.
  • Drive experimentation, A/B testing, predictive modeling, and optimization projects.
  • Ensure scalability, accuracy, and interpretability of models in production environments.
• Data Management & Governance
  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines, data quality, and governance practices.
  • Define frameworks for feature engineering, model monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Business Impact & Communication
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Present technical concepts in business-friendly language to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Measure and communicate the ROI of data science initiatives.

About the Team    

The stakeholders for the role are Analytics team, Application Teams on the business side, Enterprise Solutions Teams and other Cross-Functional Internal IT Teams, External Vendors and Partners. The team consists of 20+ engineers and are reporting to the Director of technology.
