Dishwasher – Hope Valley Country Club (Durham, NC)
Status: Full-time or Part-time
Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (flexible shifts)
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay (enter your range here: $__/hr+)
Reports to: Executive Chef / Sous Chef
About the Role
Hope Valley Country Club is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dishwasher/Steward to support our culinary team. You’ll keep the dish area clean, organized, and running smoothly so our kitchen can deliver great experiences for members and guests.
What You’ll Do

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dish machine and 3-compartment sink

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish pit and back-of-house work areas

Take out trash/compost/recycling; sweep and mop floors; break down boxes

Restock clean wares to stations; assist with banquet breakdowns and setups

Follow food safety and chemical handling procedures (ServSafe standards)

Support basic prep and housekeeping tasks as directed by chefs

Communicate equipment or supply issues promptly
What We’re Looking For

Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred, not required—we will train

Able to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs for extended periods

Consistent attendance, on time and team-oriented

Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays as club events require
