Compensation:

C$130,000 – C$150,000 base salary

Bonus target: 15–20% of base (up to 25% stretch)

The Opportunity: Build It, Then Lead It

We’re hiring a hands-on finance leader to build our finance and administration function from scratch. This is a rare opportunity to own the systems, tools, processes, and reporting frameworks for a growing company—and grow into an executive role as the business scales.

 

If you're ready to implement ERP systems, develop financial controls, build out reporting, and eventually hire and lead your own team, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Own all accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis

- Implement monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tools

- Lead the selection and implementation of an ERP system (e.g., BQE, Deltek, Scoro)

- Set up WIP tracking, job costing, and margin monitoring on a project basis

- Create financial dashboards and reports for project managers and executives

- Collaborate with PMs and field teams to improve financial insight and accountability

- Support EOS implementation (scorecards, Rocks, measurables)

- Build and coach your own team (e.g., Controller, Analyst) over the next 12–24 months

- Act as a trusted second-in-command to the CEO, able to make decisions in their absence

What We’re Looking For

**Required:**

- 8+ years of progressive finance experience

- 2+ years in a senior finance or controller-level role

- Experience setting up financial processes, policies, and reporting

- Strong working knowledge of project-based accounting (WIP, job costing)

- Comfort working hands-on in a lean environment

- Excel expertise and familiarity with accounting/ERP tools

 

**Preferred:**

- CPA designation or equivalent practical experience

- ERP implementation experience (BQE, Deltek, Scoro, etc.)

- Exposure to EOS, OKRs, or other business operating systems

- Experience in construction, engineering, or environmental/professional services

What Success Looks Like

- Reliable monthly reporting in place within 90 days

- ERP selection completed within 6 months; go-live in 9–12 months

- First finance/admin hire made within 12–18 months

- Trusted leadership voice on the team within your first year
