Herbal Goodness is seeking a fractional Business Development Lead to spearhead product innovation and development. This role involves identifying new opportunities, working with vendors, designers, and partners, and building out a pipeline of innovative products that expand our portfolio and strengthen our brand.
We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, creative, and resourceful — able to spot opportunities, structure collaborations, and move ideas from concept to ready-for-market products.
Responsibilities:
- Product Innovation:
- Research and identify new product opportunities aligned with market trends and Herbal Goodness’s mission.
- Collaborate with designers, R&D, and industry partners to develop product concepts.
- Support prototyping, packaging, and go-to-market planning.
- Vendor & Partner Engagement:
- Identify and onboard new vendors (ingredients, packaging, manufacturing).
- Negotiate contracts, timelines, and costs with suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with strategic partners to expand capabilities.
- Project Management:
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple product initiatives.
- Track progress from ideation through development and prepare handoff to operations/marketing.
- Ensure all new product development aligns with compliance, regulatory, and brand standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, product development, or innovation within consumer goods, health & wellness, supplements, or food & beverage.
- Strong network of vendors, manufacturers, and designers is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as a fractional/part-time leader.
- Creative thinker who can balance big-picture vision with execution details.
