Overview:

This role is based in the Central Southwest region. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma or Kentucky.

 

The Regional Director serves as General Manager for the programs and operations within a specific region of Catapult Learning’s business. This individual is responsible for the overall profitability, service quality, client satisfaction, and promotional activities of assigned programs. This individual must become intimately familiar with key features of all programs, important relationships, and relevant regulations within their region.  

Responsibilities:

How you’ll support the region:  

 

Team Leadership & Management

    • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team, including Area Managers and Operations Managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. 

  • Provide strategic oversight of program operations across a four-state region (Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas), ensuring excellence, consistency, and measurable outcomes. 

  • Partner with the Talent team and Area Managers to lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and retention of staff; make thoughtful, mission-aligned personnel decisions when needed. 

  • Ensure staff are equipped with the training, resources, and support necessary to deliver on contractual and organizational commitments with quality and efficiency. 

  • Model and promote a positive, professional culture that emphasizes integrity, respect, and pride in the organization’s mission. 

  • Drive strong cross-functional and intra-departmental communication to strengthen alignment, transparency, and shared accountability across all levels of the organization. 

Financial Acumen and P&L Management 

  • Full ownership of regional Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, including revenue, cost control, and expense management. 

  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial targets aligned with company objectives. 

  • Analyze financial performance regularly; identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Partner with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance and billing. 

  • Translate financial data into actionable insights to drive operational and strategic decisions and balance revenue growth goals with cost efficiency and margin optimization. 

  • Anticipate financial risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate them. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial performance with operational, sales, and service goals. 

  • Demonstrate ability to make trade-off decisions between short-term performance and long-term sustainability. 

  • Lead regional teams in understanding financial drivers, promoting financial literacy and accountability at all levels. 

  • Present financial updates and strategies clearly to both VP, Programs and field teams.

Client Services & Partnership Management 

  • Lead client account management to ensure exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, and strong contract renewal outcomes. 

  • Provide high-touch, solutions-oriented customer service that builds trust and long-term partnerships. 

  • Manage all active contracts with a focus on profitability, compliance, and measurable student learning outcomes. 

  • Maintain deep knowledge of contract terms and conditions, ensuring accurate implementation and consistent execution across all programs under the VP's oversight. 

  • Communicate proactively with corporate support staff and the Vice President of Programs, keeping them informed of contract performance, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with school and district leaders to ensure program success and responsiveness to partner needs. 

  • Identify potential challenges early, recommend strategic solutions, and collaborate with leadership to resolve issues effectively. 

  • Partner with the Vice President of Programs to design and implement an annual strategic plan for contract renewal, retention, and regional expansion. 

  • Drive renewal activities year-round, positioning the organization for continued growth and long-term sustainability. 

  • Influence and align internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across teams to achieve shared client and organizational goals. 

Academic Performance & Program Quality 

  • Ensure all programs meet or exceed contractual academic performance metrics, with a focus on measurable student growth and achievement YOY. 

  • Monitor instructional quality and program fidelity through data review, classroom observations, and regular performance assessments. 

  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to drive continuous improvement, ensuring instructional practices are evidence-based and outcomes-focused. 

  • Collaborate with curriculum and academic leadership teams to align program delivery with district/state standards and organizational priorities. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance to Area Managers and instructional staff to strengthen instructional excellence and student engagement. 

  • Report academic outcomes clearly and regularly to district partners, internal leadership, and other stakeholders. 

  • Identify underperforming programs early and implement targeted intervention strategies to support improvement. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and results among instructional teams, emphasizing the organization’s mission to drive student success.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field 

  • At least ten years of related experience in the areas of education or business 

  • Prior management and budget experience 

  • Experience working with school districts, preferred 

 

Skills 

  • Communication Skills: 

    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 

    • Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management, as well as outside partners and other stakeholders. 

  • Organizational Skills: 

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex, high-demand environments. 

    • Proficiency in prioritization and the ability to balance competing tasks effectively. 

  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: 

    • Expertise in managing complexity, particularly in guiding teams through periods of change and transition 

    • A system-oriented mindset with the ability to understand and navigate various tools and processes to ensure operational efficiency 

  • Other: 

    • Candidate must possess a sense of urgency, understanding of the education environment, ability to work in cross-functional teams, flexibility, and team orientation. 

    • Travel: candidates should expect travel commitments of up to 50%.
