BancFirst Tulsa’s Residential Construction Real Estate Department is seeking to fill the position of a Construction Loan Assistant. This position will assist the lending staff with preparing and obtaining the documentation required for construction and development loans. It will require working closely with all members of the department and the credit administration department as well as customers, title companies and insurance companies.
Primary Duties:
- Prepare loan payoff statements
- Submit loan advance request from customers
- Research customer account and/or loan history
- Research DDA and loan histories for customers and provide statements as needed
- Order Flood Verifications
- Order OFAC and/or credit reports
- Prepare loan documents and assist with loan closings
- Monitor & assist clearing of loan exceptions; ensure customer financial documents are collected
- Support lending staff and portfolio manager as needed (special projects and using the LMS system)
- Assign incoming wires to credit the correct account/loan
- Check overdraft accounts
- Assist portfolio manager with clearing coming due and past due loans
- Attend NACM (Nation Association of Credit Managers) meetings
- Order preconstruction reports & input new loan information on the LMS system
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuation is an essential function of this position

REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service skills
Excel proficient
Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules
Critical thinking skills
Ability to work well under stress and deadlines
Must be able to manage multiple tasks
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Dependable self-starter
Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor at all times
Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality
PREFERRED SKILLS
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile
Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear
Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials
Ability to lift and/or move and carry up to 10 pounds
