In the fast-paced, high-energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we ensure all of our Ru Yi guests are happy with our service? As a Ru Yi Bartender, you will have a genuine passion for guest service, top-notch organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team. While carrying out the job duties listed below, the Ru Yi Busser will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- *Mix and pour drinks per recipe cards using accurate measures, proper glassware, and garnish; receive and serve beverage orders accurately, anticipate the guests’ needs, and monitor safe alcohol service; enter orders in point of sale system, process credit card/other payment transactions, handle cash, and balance bank to sales report.
- *Operate all equipment in bar area to include but not limited to beverage dispensing system, coffee/tea machines, beer taps, and point of sales system.
- *Maintain knowledge of menu and beverage selection to include but not limited to wine, liqueur, liquor, champagne, and beer.
- *Maintain knowledge of the restaurant and property to include but not limited to specials, promotions, events, and policies.
- *Keep work area clean, safe, sanitary, stocked, and organized at all times, remain ahead on side work, and assist other team members as needed.
- Handle difficult guest situations with positive resolution.
- Provide high quality service to our guests.
- Work at other venues as assigned, based on business needs.
- Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and 6 months of high volume bartending experience is required. Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Point of Sale system preferred.
- Obtain and maintain a City of Milwaukee bartender’s license within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Successfully complete Responsible Alcohol and (In-house) Food Safety Service certified within ninety (90) days of start date.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision, exercise initiative, and have knowledge to perform all positions within the restaurant.
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups of guests or team members of organization.
- Ability to maintain organization, meet services standards, and possess integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and menus.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to proactively solve problems and deal with stress effectively.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and stand and walk for extended periods of time for the duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to twenty five (25) pounds and up to fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
