Stevens Equipment Supply, a member of Daikin Industries Inc., is a wholesale distributor of equipment, parts & supplies to industries including Residential and Light Commercial Heating & Air Conditioning, Hospitality and Refrigeration is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Accounting Manager position located out of our corporate office in Eagan, MN.. This position will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of balance sheet, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and select elements of the P&L. Manage the financial Close process, Provide P&L review and reporting, ensure AP & AR departments are operating efficiently and KPIs are implemented, tracked and improved upon.

Position responsibilities may include:

  • Provide management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress. 
  • Prepare and present financial related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis. 
  • Provide management and controller over balance sheet accounts
  • Provide management and oversight of general ledger and all journal entries
  • Lead accounting close procedures to attain on timely and high quality work product
  • Lead AR/Cash posting department department and engagement
  • Lead AP department performance and engagement
  • Support annual internal and external audits. 
  • Direct budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets. 
  • Manage SGA consolidate vendor programs to ensure compliance and best total cost 
  • Review, evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures. 
  • Gain an understanding of all state regulatory filing requirements and impact on the financial statements.

  • The ability to establish processes and procedures to ensure effective department workflow.  
  • The ability to track, measure and manage performance is required.  
  • Have MS Excel skills at an intermediate level.  
  • Strong analytical skills.  
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.  
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.  
  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment.  
  • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction from leadership.  
  • An understanding of business unit operational functions and related needs and requirements and the ability identify issues, weigh options and provide effective counsel to support sound business decisions.  
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and compliance requirements of other financial statutes.  
  • Knowledge of State and local statutory requirements that govern financial reporting and accounting.  

Experience:

  • 4 – 6 years 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 
  • MBA, or Master of Data Analytics, or Master in Accounting with a Data Analytics Focus preferred. 
  • CPA preferred.

    • Salary range is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on experience.
