Role Overview:
The Accounting Intern position is a 10-week paid internship program designed to provide you with hands on experience that aligns with your interests and skillsets. Throughout your internship you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects to gain practical skills, industry knowledge, and contribute to projects that directly impact the business. In addition, you will gain exposure to our senior leadership through our Amp’d Up with Leader Series and participate in different social activities with other interns and team members. To support your professional development, you will also have access to a variety of workshops designed to help you develop professional skills and you will be assigned a mentor in an area of interest to help you along the way.

As an Accounting Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting our accounting team with day-to-day operations. From assisting with reconciliations and data entry to analyzing financial reports, you’ll see firsthand how accounting supports the bigger picture of business decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end account reconciliations in a timely manner, including the research of outstanding, out-of-balance, and stale-dated items
- Support Amplifon accounting team with financial analysis projects
- Support Cash Application for our US and Canada team with analysis and corrections
- Prepare AP reconciliations for our Procure to Pay processes and taking action to address the issues as they are discovered
- Assist with cash reconciliations, and monthly tracking of AR and AP for Canada and US acquisitions
- Assist with internal/external audits during our mid-year review
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting course work completed
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting methods, principles, and ability to apply knowledge in situations where procedures are not well defined
- Board understanding of overall General Ledger functions including AP, AR, inter-company transactions, accruals and intangibles
- Current Sophomore or Junior with a graduation date between May/June 2027-2028
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools
- Understanding and application of formulas, v-lookup, tables, and pivot charts in Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience through involvement in student organizations, volunteer work, or previous experience
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to perform functions with accuracy
Compensation: Based on qualifications we anticipate the hiring range will to be $21/hr-$22/hr
Working model and hours: Our internship runs for 10 weeks and is designed as a hybrid experience—spend three days each week collaborating in-person at our Minneapolis headquarters and two days working remotely. Interns work about 40 hours per week.
