Facilities Generalist I en Cape Cod Five Cederal Bank

SUMMARY:

The Facilities Generalist I is to support the upkeep and general maintenance of our facilities. This role is well-suited for individuals with foundational experience in property maintenance who possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall functionality and appearance of our banking locations by assisting with a variety of tasks related to repairs, upkeep, and facility organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with painting, surface patching, and minor drywall repairs as needed throughout the facility
2. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report findings appropriately
3. Support basic troubleshooting and upkeep of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components
4. Replace damaged ceiling tiles and install emergency lighting equipment as directed
5. Cut and install various flooring materials and ceiling tiles with precision
6. Perform light electrical tasks such as replacing batteries in devices and button panels
7. Participate in general facility turnover efforts, preparing interior spaces for use
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply closets, maintenance areas, and storage rooms
9. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and organizational standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• 1+ year of general maintenance, facilities support, or related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and building systems
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, use ladders, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
