Job Summary

Supervise the Alpine or Snowboard Team.  Set up practice agendas and coaches schedules.  Deal with issues/questions from parents.  Assist with team meetings with parents and athletes and assist with seasonal fund-raising projects.  Set up the winter events for your specific discipline making sure all supply and labor needs are met.

Required

  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to remain calm when working with upset guests or employees

Preferred

  • Strong teaching ability
  • Outgoing personality

Typical Schedule

Days:

Practice days:  Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Hours:

  • Friday:  5pm-7pm, Saturday & Sunday: 7:30am-12:30pm
  • Event days hours could run 5:30am-5pm
  • Some work from home may be needed

Core Responsibilities

  • Teach lessons to resort guests weekly
  • Assist with the training of staff
  • Handle customer service issues as needed
  • Ability to delegate duties to staff (work with staff, not just give assign tasks)
  • Maintain current PSIA/AASI or USSS or USASA certification - actively pursue Level 2 or higher certification

Tasks and Duties

  • Assign duties and monitor guest-facing staff to ensure guest services standards are upheld
  • Execute daily assignments effectively and assign duties to team members
  • Serve as an immediate escalation point for advanced customer service issues

Communication and Team Involvement

  • Circulate information and directives to staff pertaining department/company
  • Provide effective communication between guest-facing staff and supervisory/management staff
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to lead supervisors and managers

Decision-Making and Initiative

  • Prioritize daily staff tasks with departmental objectives in mind
  • Ascertain customer issues that require lead supervisor/management response

Professional Development and Mentoring

  • Provide on-the-job training to guest-facing staff
  • Monitor staff development and provide additional training as needed
